TheStudio Christmas Carol Blog Hop Freebie

I am super excited about theStudio's Christmas Carol Blog Hop! This is a really unique blog train. Instead of using the same pallette, each designer chose a Christmas Song to make their mini. So you can expect an unique mini at each stop along the way!

I chose the song Silver Bells by Bing Crosby. To me it's not Christmas until I bring out the my White Christmas by Bing Crosby CD. And one of my favorite songs on it is Silver Bells. Of course, there's a story because I'm a bit young to be a huge Bing Crosby fan....when I was young, probably until late elementary school or middle school aged, my parents had a large console record player and that is one of the records they had. I can remember decorating the Christmas tree every year to that record. I then was the proud owner of a White Christmas cassette tape and now have the CD. And now every year, we decorate our tree to the same music with our children!

"Silver Bells....Silver Bells....it's Christmas time in the city........." that first line was hugely inspiring to the direction that this mini kit took. I really hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone! Happy 4th of July Weekend and Happy Canada Day to all my North American customers! We're getting ready to head to see family for the 4th. Good morning everyone! As I mentioned last week, I'm very excited about my first guest spot which is coming up in July. I've designed a brand new collection which will be exclusive to my guest store for the month of July. We're going to play a game which will give you a chance to win this entire collection or the kit. New in My Stores, Retiring Products, and Buy My Store Deal Extended!

Whew! I've got a lot going on to tell you about. First some new things in my stores.

Spring in the City is still exclusive to Divine but look for the whole collection to be at theStudio later this week. I've now added the stacked papers to the store that were my challenge prize. I've also added a bundle option for additional savings if you missed out on purchasing Spring in the City during my Divine Diva Deal and want the cardstock and stacked papers as well.

Springsational has now made it's way to both stores. I've repackaged it to include the blog hop portion as well. There are also brand new stacked papers that I didn't quite get done in time for iNSD. The kit, stacked papers, and carstock are also available in a bundle for additional savings. The individual products are on sale for 20% off through the 23rd in both stores.

The Fiesta blog hop mini is also in both stores. If you missed it, it is bargain priced at only $1 so go ahead and grab it!

And finally a little update on what's coming! I'm working on a collab with Aimee Harrison. Boy, the days are flying past! I can't believe it's already April 1st! So did you read that right? You bet! Today and tomorrow only - 50% off everything in both of my stores!! So be sure to go check it out!

And what else? It's Blogtrain Day! Wahoo!! Now I just love this one! I've always wanted to do a pirate kit, in fact, I'll be expanding this into a full sized kit sometime this summer. It was that much fun!

Now for the PSA portion of this Blogtrain! The theme was chosen as a stand against digital piracy which is so rampant in this industry. As designers, it's heartbreaking to find your hard work being given away for free by someone else who has no right to do so. We work hard to create and really make very little money doing so. No designer is getting rich from selling scrapkits. Sure some do better than others but we also have expenses too. We have store commisions, paypal fees, server fees, hosting fees, fees associated with producing newsletters, advertising at sites like DST and DSA is not free, and any CU items we purchase...etc. etc. etc. So even if it's a freebie, it's piracy to redistribute it! Designers create freebies to drive traffic, it's advertising. See my nifty sale ad at the top of this post! So when our freebie is redistributed, it takes away our opportunity to advertise our other products. So if someone wants the freebie, link them to where you downloaded it. Designers also usually offer freebies for a limited time and then may sell them. Piracy is also not following the TOUs found in the product. OK, I'm done with my PSA now! Well, it's finally here, Day 31 of the Lucky to Have You DAD at Divine Digital! On these month where there are 16 days instead of 15, it's up to the designers to decide what we want to do with the last day. We decided to each make 2 QPs so that you will have a bonus QP album that coordinates with the kit. You can see the preview of Day 31 below.
