I hope that you all had a great DSD week and found lots of great free stuff and bargains! I did some shopping of my own and really had a great time. I also hope you had a great Halloween if you are in the US. It was so cold here, we even saw some of that white stuff! Luckily, we had been planning a little getaway with some friends to Great Wolf Lodge so we had a lot of fun trick or treating inside! We also enjoyed the waterpark and the boys had a ton of fun with Magi Quest. Our friends have 3 boys so it was just a lot of fun!

We spent a few days camping this week with my parents and my grandma. We had a lot of fun sleeping in the tent and making s'mores around the campfire in the evenings. I hope all of you are having a great summer too!

I do hope that you have all been keeping warm! Up here in very snowy Michigan, we've been battling wind chills of -20 and lower and we have gotten almost 2 ft. of snow in the last week as well. Samuel was delighted with the 4 snow days that he had this last week making it a 6 day weekend for us. We had a lot of fun here at home but he was definitely ready to see his friends again when he went back to school on Thursday. I keep hoping for a better week ahead but the weather is predicting another polar vortex and as much as another 18 inches of snow by Wednesday. So we may be having more days at home. I took this photo across the street to our neighbor's house the other day, you can see how the snow banks dwarf their large trash bins and can use the garage and their basketball hoop as a reference to see how deep our snow is.

 



 

I am working hard at some new and exciting things that I can't wait to share with you! My next new release will be coming on 2/13 and I will have some other happenings to tell you about then as well.

Happy Friday Everyone! This month is flying past and I'm so busy I can hardly turn around. This month has been filled with some lows - on the 16th it was one year since my grandfather passed away - but some very high, highs - on the 14th my little brother and his wife welcomed their first child, my new nephew, Owen James, into the world. I have been very busy enjoying being an aunt again for the third time. My mom and I even got to be his very first babysitters yesterday while my brother and sister-in-law went to lunch and the mall so she could get out a bit. My mom came home from FL last Sunday since he surprised us all by being 15 days early, but left her car there, so I've been playing chauffer and enjoying having her home this week.
